Jason M. Frierson U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada

A 13-count indictment was unsealed on June 11, 2025, in Las Vegas, charging five men and one woman for their alleged roles in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and gun offenses. The defendants include Alex Gonzalez, also known as “Luis Carlos Caloca-Castenada;” Aaron Wolski; Richard Allen Williams, also known as “Steve Watley;” Shane Kunkle; Charles Wade McCall; and Maria Paola Ortiz-Sanchez. They each face one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Additional charges vary among the defendants. Wolski faces one count of engaging in the business of dealing firearms without a license and five counts of distribution of methamphetamine. Kunkle is charged with similar firearm dealing offenses and multiple counts related to firearm possession and drug distribution. Williams faces two counts of methamphetamine distribution, while Gonzalez faces three such counts. Ortiz-Sanchez is charged with one count of distribution, and McCall with possession with intent to distribute.

The indictment alleges that from June 2024 to June 10, 2025, the defendants conspired to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine. It further alleges that between February 14 and May 20, 2025, Wolski and Kunkle engaged in firearms dealing without licenses. Kunkle allegedly possessed firearms despite prior felony convictions prohibiting him from doing so.

A jury trial is set for August 11, 2025, before United States District Judge Gloria M. Navarro. If convicted, the defendants could face life imprisonment.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada along with Acting Special Agent in Charge Rafik Mattar for the FBI Las Vegas Division and Acting Special Agent in Charge Alex Buenaventura from the ATF San Francisco Field Division.

The case was investigated by the FBI, ATF, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Assistant United States Attorneys Joshua Brister and Tina Snellings are prosecuting it as part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation aimed at dismantling high-level drug trafficking organizations.

An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
