Pittsburgh man sentenced to nine years for sex trafficking conspiracy

A Pittsburgh resident has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for his involvement in a sex trafficking conspiracy. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

Philip Walker, aged 40, received the sentence from United States District Judge Cathy B. Bissoon on June 11, 2025. According to court documents, Walker coerced several women into performing commercial sex acts for his financial gain. He controlled their finances, credit cards, and vehicles, making them financially and emotionally reliant on him. The criminal activities spanned from Pittsburgh to Florida and Texas.

Before delivering the sentence, Judge Bissoon emphasized the significant impact of Walker's crimes on the victims involved.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney DeMarr Moulton. Acting United States Attorney Rivetti praised the FBI for their role in investigating and securing a successful prosecution against Walker.
