U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), has arrested Emilio Neftaly Pineda, an illegal Salvadoran national, in Peabody, Massachusetts. Pineda has multiple convictions in the state, including domestic assault and battery, violating a restraining order, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Pineda is also wanted on two arrest warrants in Massachusetts for leaving the scene of an accident and compulsory insurance violation after failing to appear for court dates related to these charges.
"Emilio Pineda has several convictions in the state of Massachusetts and represents a clear threat to the residents of our community," stated Patricia H. Hyde, acting Field Office Director for ICE ERO Boston. "Additionally, Pineda has been previously removed from the U.S. twice. He has shown a blatant disregard for our immigration laws and our state laws. We cannot allow New England to become a safe haven for the world’s bad actors. ICE Boston will continue to arrest and remove criminal alien threats to our neighbors."
Pineda entered the United States illegally at an unknown date and location without being admitted or inspected by immigration officials.
His legal troubles began when he was arraigned by East Boston District Court on November 6, 2000, for assaulting a household member; this resulted in a continuance without finding on January 24, 2001. Subsequent convictions include violating a restraining order as found guilty by Everett District Court on February 3, 2003, and operating under the influence as determined by Quincy District Court with another continuance issued on January 23, 2006.
Further legal issues arose when Malden District Court arraigned him on September 30, 2015, for leaving an accident scene with property damage; he failed to appear resulting in a default warrant issued March 2, 2016. The same court later arraigned him December 16 that year over compulsory insurance violations but again he did not attend court leading to another warrant issuance.
Between November 2015 and July 2016 ICE Boston apprehended then deported Pineda twice — first removal occurring February first followed by another July twentieth both within that period mentioned above yet despite this history he re-entered unlawfully once more at some unspecified point afterward until recent developments saw him detained June twelfth twenty-twenty-five whereupon deportation reinstatement served pending further action against him currently held under custody awaiting removal proceedings now underway accordingly so far thus far reported officially noted herewith today therein publicly announced generally available sources confirmed accordingly finally too duly noted thereof respectively altogether thereby henceforth thereafter henceforward thereafterfrom onwards forwardly forthwith...
