DaQurius Razjoune Johnson, a 33-year-old resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, has pled guilty to the charge of illegally possessing ammunition. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the plea. Johnson faces up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
Johnson was indicted for knowingly possessing thirty-five rounds of ammunition on July 24, 2024. This occurred after he had been previously convicted of a crime that carried a sentence exceeding one year.
The case was investigated by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Johnson's plea and has ordered a presentence investigation report.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine Johnson's sentence based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors. Until sentencing, Johnson will remain in custody under the United States Marshals Service.
