U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tampa has entered into agreements with two Tampa-based companies, Ruri Software Technologies and Famous Technologies, Inc., under the ICE Mutual Agreement Between Government and Employers (IMAGE) program. This voluntary initiative aims to enhance business security and workforce stability while reducing the risk of hiring unauthorized workers.
The IMAGE program is part of a broader effort by the Department of Homeland Security to assist businesses in verifying new hires' eligibility to work in the U.S. through the E-Verify system. This internet-based tool links employers with the Social Security Administration’s database and DHS immigration records, providing a free resource for ensuring employment eligibility.
“These partnerships with businesses in our communities are an integral part of our commitment to providing national security, as well as the security of employees and customers,” stated HSI Tampa Special Agent in Charge John Condon. “They are leading by example in how a legal workforce is a key component of responsible corporate citizenship.”
Ruri Software Technologies and Famous Technologies have committed to maintaining secure workforces and minimizing unauthorized employment through outreach efforts and education. To achieve IMAGE certification, companies must complete several steps including enrolling in E-Verify within 60 days, establishing a written hiring policy, conducting annual internal Form I-9 audits, and submitting to Form I-9 inspections.
Ruri Software Technologies specializes in IT consulting services across various domains nationwide. Famous Technologies Inc., its companion company, also offers comprehensive software solutions aimed at innovation and technology enablement.
“We are proud to align ourselves with the values and standards that IMAGE represents," said Ruri Software Technologies director of operations Ram Arikatlal. "It is an honor to be part of this important partnership committed to fostering a lawful workforce while promoting best hiring practices.”
