U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, who chairs the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, has announced that Kelly Loeffler, Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Entrepreneur Expo. The event is set to take place at Iowa State University on August 12.
The Entrepreneur Expo, now in its third year, aims to provide small businesses in Iowa with opportunities to explore the federal marketplace through networking and hands-on instruction. "Administrator Loeffler has been a leading champion for Iowa small businesses in Washington," said Ernst. She added that her collaboration with Loeffler and the Trump administration aims to support Main Street businesses in thriving within the federal marketplace.
Loeffler expressed her enthusiasm for participating in this year's event led by Senator Ernst. "I'm thrilled to be part of this year’s Entrepreneur Expo led by Senator Ernst, and to work with her as Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee," said Loeffler. She emphasized President Trump's commitment to supporting small businesses as key drivers of economic growth and innovation.
Last year's Expo saw participation from 40 federal and state entities that connected with small businesses on opportunities related to federal contracting and innovation programs. The 2023 Expo attracted hundreds of attendees from Iowa and featured 31 federal and state entities.
