Senior Advisor Boulos introduced Secretary Rubio and highlighted President Trump's leadership in prioritizing peace. He also recognized the significant contributions from Qatar and the African Union in facilitating this agreement.

Rubio acknowledged the efforts of all parties involved, including Senators Rounds and Risch, emphasizing that "peace is not just about ending wars; it’s about allowing people to live." He expressed gratitude for being part of this historic moment, stating that such achievements make America stronger and safer.

Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe of Rwanda expressed appreciation for President Trump’s involvement and Qatar's mediation efforts. He noted that "the heart of this peace agreement is the decision to establish a standing joint security coordination mechanism between DRC and Rwanda."

Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner of DRC echoed these sentiments, recognizing President Trump's commitment to the peace process. She stressed that "peace is a choice but also a responsibility" and called for continued support from international partners.
