Buddy Hughes, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a home builder and developer from Lexington, N.C., has expressed support following the Senate's approval of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. In his statement, Hughes emphasized that this legislation is expected to foster economic growth.
"NAHB commends the Senate for passing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act," Hughes stated. He explained that the bill would enable NAHB members to allocate more resources toward multifamily rental construction, land development for single-family homes, and acquiring new equipment to expand their businesses.
Hughes further noted that these developments would contribute to a more favorable business environment. This improved climate would help builders increase the housing supply in the United States, addressing a key factor in easing the country's housing affordability crisis. "We urge the House to move quickly to pass this bill," he added.
