Man pleads guilty to illegal firearm possession in Oklahoma

Tyrone Noble, a 58-year-old man, has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition. This was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Noble faces a sentence of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

The indictment accused Noble of having a 12-gauge shotgun and five rounds of ammunition on December 2, 2024. He was previously convicted of a crime that carried more than one year imprisonment.

The investigation into this case was conducted by the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered.

A U.S. District Court Judge will later decide on the sentence based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory considerations. Until then, Noble will remain under the custody of the United States Marshals Service.
