Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has announced a significant nomination by the president. Marine Corps Major General David J. Bligh has been nominated for the position of judge advocate general of the Navy.
Bligh is presently serving as the staff judge advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps at Headquarters, Marine Corps, located in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
