A Honduran national, Enys Jose Rosales-Lara, 39, was sentenced to time served of 74 days in prison for illegal reentry into the United States. Following his sentence, he will be remanded to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, as announced by U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme.

Rosales-Lara entered a guilty plea in May 2025 to one count of illegal reentry. Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case.

According to court documents, on April 23, 2025, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop in Havre where Rosales-Lara was found in the back seat of a vehicle. He presented a Honduran Identification Card but had no other identification documents and was subsequently taken into custody. He admitted to entering the United States on September 17, 2023, near El Paso, Texas without any legal petitions or rights to remain in the country.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office handled the prosecution with investigative support from the U.S. Border Patrol and Havre Police Department.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America—a nationwide initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators. The operation leverages resources from the Department of Justice's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
