The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the sentencing of Muhammad Adnan, a 21-year-old resident of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. On July 2, 2025, Senior United States District Judge Malachy E. Mannion sentenced Adnan to ten years in prison for drug trafficking offenses.
Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus reported that Adnan was indicted alongside three codefendants for distributing methamphetamine in quantities of 50 grams or more on several occasions between November 2023 and February 2024 in Harrisburg. Adnan had previously entered a guilty plea to charges of distributing methamphetamine on February 27, 2025.
Among his codefendants, Urias Williams also pleaded guilty on February 27, 2025, and is awaiting sentencing. Aaron Pitts is scheduled to go to trial on October 6, 2025, while Aaron Gambino remains a fugitive.
The investigation was conducted by multiple agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Capital City Safe Streets Task Force, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Pennsylvania State Police, Dauphin County Drug Task Force, and the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael A. Consiglio is leading the prosecution.
This case falls under Operation Take Back America (https://www.justice.gov/dag/media/1393746/dl?inline), an initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations to protect communities from violent crime perpetrators. The operation coordinates efforts from the Department's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
It should be noted that indictments are merely allegations and all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
