The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Kenneth Marvin Bray, also known as Marvin Bray, age 54, from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm charge. The charge is one count of Felon in Possession of Firearm and carries a possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
According to the indictment, Bray was charged with knowingly possessing a 9mm semi-automatic pistol on November 30, 2023. This occurred after he had previously been convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison.
The case was investigated by the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine Bray's sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. Until sentencing, Bray will remain in custody under the supervision of the United States Marshals Service.
