The American Farm Bureau Federation has expressed approval following the final passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Zippy Duvall, President of the American Farm Bureau Federation, shared his thoughts on the legislative development.
"Farm Bureau applauds the House and Senate for passing legislation that will bring certainty to America’s farmers and ranchers," Duvall said. He emphasized that modernizing farm safety net programs and making critical tax provisions permanent could be crucial for family farms facing financial challenges.
Duvall noted that "more than half of farmers are losing money," highlighting the necessity for increased reference prices. He added that tax tools will aid farmers and ranchers in planning for future seasons and generations.
He concluded by saying, "Lawmakers took a big step toward ensuring America’s farmers and ranchers can continue to keep pantries filled for America’s families."
