Nominations sent to Senate include new ambassadors and key officials

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Jeffrey Anderson from Georgia has been nominated to serve as the Representative of the United States on the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization, with an ambassadorial rank. Julie Callahan from the District of Columbia is set to become Chief Agricultural Negotiator at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, also with ambassadorial status, succeeding Douglas J. McKalip.

Jerome Francis Gorgon Jr. from Michigan is nominated for United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan for a four-year term, replacing Dawn N. Ison. Arthur Graham from Florida is proposed as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Valley Authority until May 18, 2026, taking over from L. Michelle Moore.

Scott Mayer from Pennsylvania and James Murphy from Maryland are both nominated to be Members of the National Labor Relations Board with terms expiring in December 2029 and December 2027 respectively; they replace Lauren McGarity McFerran and John F. Ring.

Dan Negrea from Connecticut will represent America on both the Economic and Social Council and General Assembly Sessions at the United Nations with ambassadorial rank but without additional compensation.

Lastly, John Walk from Virginia is nominated as Inspector General at the Department of Agriculture in place of Phyllis K. Fong.
