On Thursday, July 24, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee is set to vote on several nominations for key positions within various departments. These include roles in the Department of Labor, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
The agenda includes the nomination of David Castillo as Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Labor. Brian Christine is nominated for Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services. Brittany Panuccio has been put forward to serve as a Member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Jonathan Snare is nominated as a Member of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. The nominations also include David Barker for Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education at the Department of Education and Mary Christina Riley for Assistant Secretary for Legislative and Congressional Affairs at the same department.
