The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has expressed approval for the House Appropriations Committee's recent decision to move forward with legislation aimed at funding key transportation agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Eric Fanning, President and CEO of AIA, highlighted the importance of this development.
"Investing boldly in aviation safety, air traffic control modernization, research and development, and more will ensure we maintain our position as the global gold standard for aviation and the leader in innovation. This legislation will do just that," Fanning said. He emphasized the significance of adapting to new technologies and meeting rising demand within the industry.
Fanning also acknowledged the committee's efforts to increase funding for the FAA compared to Fiscal Year 2025. "With new technology on the horizon, demand soaring, and an appetite for innovation, we thank the committee for providing the FAA with an increase over Fiscal Year 2025. We look forward to seeing this bill advance on the House floor," he added.
