Somerset County man indicted for child pornography charges

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the indictment of Tyler Fuller, a 31-year-old resident of Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The charges against Fuller include receipt and possession of child pornography.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that the indictment claims Fuller received and possessed child pornography from August 2023 to January 2024 in Centre County.

The investigation was conducted by several law enforcement agencies, including the State College Police Department, Ferguson Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, and the Department of Homeland Security. Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin is responsible for prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program uses federal, state, and local resources to find and prosecute those who exploit children and rescue victims. More information on Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.usdoj.gov/psc.

It is important to note that indictments are only allegations. Individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Under federal law, these offenses carry a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment with a mandatory minimum sentence of five years. There is also a term of supervised release following imprisonment and potential fines. Sentences are determined by a judge after reviewing applicable federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.
