Andre Clark, 34, of Washington, D.C., was sentenced in Superior Court to 19 years in prison for the fatal shooting of Leonard Taylor, Jr. in October 2024. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.
Clark pleaded guilty on May 5, 2025, to one count of second-degree murder while armed. Superior Court Judge Todd Edelman also ordered five years of supervised release following Clark’s prison term.

Clark walked up to the driver’s side window and pointed a firearm at Taylor with his right hand. As Taylor attempted to drive away, Clark fired into the vehicle, striking him in the back and killing him.
Clark was arrested in Baltimore, Maryland on December 19, 2024. He has remained in custody since his arrest.
Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department joined U.S. Attorney Pirro in announcing the sentence.
"In announcing the sentence, U.S. Attorney Pirro and Chief Smith commended the work of those who investigated the case from the Metropolitan Police Department. They also acknowledged Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Bromwich, who prosecuted the case."
