In one post from August 4, 2025 at 10:43 AM EST, Trump wrote, "Ask Pocahontas the real questions, CNBC!!!".
A subsequent post made at the same time included only a link: "Donald J. Trump Truth Social 08.04.25 10:43 AM EST https://t.co/YI2ckOZxdm".
Later that morning at 10:50 AM EST, Trump commented on India's involvement in global oil markets and its relationship with Russia amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He stated, "India is not only buying massive amounts of Russian Oil, they are then, for much of the Oil purchased, selling it on the Open Market for big profits. They don’t care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War".
These posts come as India has increased imports of Russian oil since early 2022 and resold refined products to other countries. This activity has drawn international attention due to Western sanctions imposed on Russia following its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
