The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has expressed approval of the Senate Appropriations Committee's progress on the fiscal year 2026 defense appropriations bill. The bill features an increase of over $20 billion from the President’s budget request.

Eric Fanning, President and CEO of AIA, commented on the development, stating, "AIA continues to be a champion of raising the topline to match the threat level, equip our warfighters, and invest in innovation that maintains our asymmetric advantage."

Fanning also emphasized AIA's commitment to collaborating with Congress as they continue deliberations on fiscal year 2026 appropriations. He noted, "As the Senate continues to work through fiscal year 2026 appropriations, AIA looks forward to engaging with Congress to appropriate sufficient funds before the fiscal year ends."
