A federal jury in Orlando has convicted Joshua Keith Davis, 53, of Jacksonville, on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Davis was found guilty of five counts of producing CSAM, five counts of distributing CSAM, and one count of possessing CSAM. Sentencing is scheduled for October 29, 2025.
Evidence presented during the trial showed that between 2011 and 2013, Davis produced images depicting infants and distributed these materials online to several individuals. Authorities also discovered Davis in possession of additional CSAM in 2022.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Noah P. Dorman and Special Assistant United States Attorney Rachel S. Lyons are prosecuting the case.
U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe stated: “This is another case brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims. If convicted on all counts, Davis faces significant prison time with mandatory minimum sentences for each production and distribution offense.
