On August 14, 2025, Trump posted: "It is my Great Honor to nominate Rebecca Taibleson to serve as a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals, for the Seventh Circuit, in the Great State of Wisconsin. Rebecca brings a wealth of EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESS, from her". The announcement highlights Trump's intention to nominate Taibleson for a federal appellate judgeship.

The following day, on August 15, Trump shared details about an international phone call: "I had a wonderful talk with the highly respected President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko. The purpose of the call was to thank him for the release of 16 prisoners. We are also discussing the release of 1,300 additional". In this post, Trump described ongoing diplomatic discussions with Belarus concerning prisoner releases.
Rebecca Taibleson has previously served as a U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and has experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney prior to her judicial appointment.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has been President of Belarus since 1994 and is known for his long-standing rule over the country.
