ICE arrests several noncitizens with serious criminal records over the weekend

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported a series of arrests over the weekend involving individuals described as criminal illegal aliens with significant criminal histories. Among those taken into custody was Roslandy Garcia-Cruz, a 41-year-old Cuban national who has been convicted 23 times in four different states. The convictions include charges such as possessing counterfeit or unauthorized access devices with intent to defraud, possession of criminal tools, counterfeiting, and probation violation.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented on the arrests: “The Biden administration allowed serial criminals to prey on Americans. The days of criminal illegal aliens terrorizing American citizens are OVER,” said  Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “While Americans were enjoying their weekends, ICE was hard at work arresting pedophiles, fraudsters, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals to make America safe again.”

In addition to Garcia-Cruz, ICE listed several other individuals arrested:

- Ibrahim Albawaneh, 31, from Jordan; convictions for possession of a controlled substance and aggravated assault in Vermillion County, Illinois.

- Omar Balbino-Navarro, 30, from Mexico; conviction for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger in Ventura, California.

- Oscar Pille-Aguilera, 31, from Mexico; conviction for exploitation of child/elderly/disabled in Collin County, Texas.

- Magdeleno Barbosa-Montalvo, 53, from Mexico; conviction for sexual misconduct with a minor in Vincennes, Indiana.

- Adalberto Turcios-Mejia, 66, from Honduras; conviction for indecency with a child by contact in Austin, Texas.

- Arinxon Quintero-Valera, 25, from Venezuela; conviction for procurement of prostitution in San Antonio, Texas.

- Daniel Hernandez-Sanchez, 32, from Mexico; conviction for robbery in Mendocino, California.

- Cindy Rivas-Cruz, 32, from Guatemala; conviction for larceny in Draper Utah.

- Ramon Lopez-Ruiz ,48 ,from Mexico ;conviction for trafficking cocaine in Durham County ,North Carolina.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is encouraging individuals interested in public safety and national service to consider careers with ICE through their recruitment portal join.ice.gov.
