U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that a Global Entry enrollment event will take place at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) from September 8 to September 12. The interviews are scheduled daily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the CBP office located at 1921 Hall Dr, Wilmington, N.C.

Applicants who have received conditional approval for Global Entry are advised to log onto the official Trusted Traveler Program website to secure an appointment as soon as possible.

Global Entry is part of CBP’s Trusted Traveler Programs, which provide expedited processing for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. All applicants must complete background checks and an in-person interview before being enrolled.

CBP also encourages conditionally approved applicants to use the Enrollment on Arrival process, which allows them to complete their required interview upon returning from abroad at participating airports without needing a scheduled appointment.

The Global Entry program is one of four Department of Homeland Security Trusted Traveler Programs designed to streamline screening for members while maintaining security standards and supporting legitimate trade and travel. The program currently serves more than 10 million members and operates at land, air, and seaports of entry into the U.S., as well as Preclearance locations worldwide.

Eligible Global Entry members also receive access to TSA PreCheck, which offers faster security screening for domestic flights at participating U.S. airports. Travelers must be pre-approved for all Trusted Traveler programs before participation.

According to CBP, "U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is America's frontline: the nation's largest law enforcement organization and the world's first unified border management agency. The 65,000+ men and women of CBP protect America on the ground, in the air, and on the seas. We enforce safe, lawful travel and trade and ensure our country's economic prosperity. We enhance the nation's security through innovation, intelligence, collaboration, and trust."
