Monongalia County man receives extra year for failing to report for federal sentence

James Mansfield Davis, a 68-year-old resident of Morgantown, West Virginia, has been sentenced to an additional 12 months in prison after failing to surrender for a previous federal sentence. Court records show that Davis was supposed to report to federal prison on October 4, 2024, to begin serving an 82-month sentence related to a child pornography conviction in the Northern District of West Virginia. He did not appear as ordered and was subsequently arrested on October 15 in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Following his new prison term, Davis will be subject to three years of supervised release.
