Harrisburg man receives prison sentence for escape from federal reentry center

Kyle Eugene Gordon, 37, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison for escaping from federal custody. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Karoline Mehalchick and will be followed by three years of supervised release.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that Gordon was a federal inmate at the Capital Pavilion Residential Reentry Center in Dauphin County. He had been serving a sentence related to narcotics and firearms offenses when he escaped from the facility on October 7, 2024. U.S. Marshals apprehended him eight days later.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Scalera prosecuted it.
