A St. Clair County resident has been indicted on charges related to cyberstalking, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona.
Michael Ray Mullins, 44, of Trussville, Alabama, faces a two-count indictment in U.S. District Court. The charges include one count of cyberstalking and one count of interstate transmission of a threat to kidnap or injure another person. Authorities allege that these incidents took place between September and October 2024 in St. Clair County.
The case was investigated by the FBI in collaboration with the Margaret Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel S. McBrayer is handling the prosecution.
"An indictment contains only charges. Defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty," the release stated.
