A Mexican national, Salvador Gonzalez-Sanchez, was sentenced to 40 months in prison and three years of supervised release for illegally reentering the United States after being deported three times. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Gloria Navarro.

Court documents show that immigration officials located Gonzalez-Sanchez in Nevada after he had previously been removed from the U.S. in 2011, 2017, and 2023. Gonzalez-Sanchez has four felony convictions: illegal alien in possession of a firearm (2010), deported alien found unlawfully in the United States (2016), assault with firearm on person (2021), and conspiracy to violate uniform controlled substance act (2023).

Gonzalez-Sanchez pleaded guilty to one count of Deported Alien Found in the United States. He had previously been convicted for the same offense in 2016.

After completing his prison term, Gonzalez-Sanchez will be deported to Mexico for a fourth time.
