Restore the Military has announced that it has profiled more than 90 senior officers accused of promoting "woke" ideology and released a reform blueprint aimed at restoring a warrior culture in the U.S. Armed Forces.
According to Restore the Military, the initiative began in May 2025 by publishing profiles of 40 senior officers across the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Since then, the group reports it has compiled more than 90 profiles in total, with dozens more in development. The organization argues these officers replaced combat readiness with divisive policies and should be removed from leadership positions.
Restore the Military states that its findings have already produced consequences at the highest levels of the armed services. The group claims that 13 officers identified in its profiles have been removed from command, while the Senate Armed Services Committee blocked promotions of six Air Force and Navy officers after reviewing evidence of poor judgment and support for controversial policies. The organization highlights these outcomes as proof of its ability to influence defense oversight.
As noted by Restore the Military, the initiative has pressed oversight boards at West Point and the Air Force Academy to reverse what it describes as decades of politicized admissions and hiring practices. The group cites Superintendent Steven Gilland’s emphasis on diversity and equity as evidence of misplaced priorities, contrasting it with the traditional West Point motto of "Duty, honor, country." It reports that after pressure campaigns, the Army Secretary intervened to block a hiring linked to outside advocacy groups and ordered a review of academy staffing policies.
According to STARRS, a nonprofit group of retired military officers, it has partnered with Restore the Military to assist service members adversely affected by vaccine mandates and related disciplinary policies. STARRS reports that cadets and officers have lost commissions, promotions, or retirement benefits for refusing vaccines on religious or medical grounds. Together, the two groups argue these cases reveal the extent to which military leadership imposed ideological conformity at the expense of individual rights.
According to its official website, Restore the Military is a project of the Restoration of America Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing conservative reforms in cultural, political, and military institutions. The project describes its mission as exposing "woke corruption" within the armed services and offering a blueprint to restore readiness. Its proposals include raising combat fitness standards, limiting outside influence on academy oversight, and fostering a new warrior ethos for the next century.
