First Lady Melania Trump is set to convene a meeting of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education today, bringing together task force members and private sector representatives. The session will focus on AI’s growing impact and the importance of responsible management as the technology expands across various sectors.

In her prepared remarks, Mrs. Trump stated, “I predict AI will represent the single largest growth category in our nation during the Trump Administration—and I won’t be surprised if AI becomes known as the greatest engine of progress in the history of the United States of America. But, as leaders and parents we must manage AI’s growth responsibly. During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would our own children—empowering, but with watchful guidance. We are living in a moment of wonder, and it is our responsibility to prepare America’s children.”

This marks the second gathering of the task force since President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order focused on advancing artificial intelligence education for young Americans in April 2025.

The meeting will include remarks from Mrs. Trump, members of the task force, and industry leaders representing over 135 commitments made nationwide to promote AI education.

Mrs. Trump has also promoted child and youth online safety through her BE BEST initiative. This campaign contributed to bipartisan support for the TAKE IT DOWN Act, which President Trump signed into law in May 2025.

Recently, Mrs. Trump utilized AI technology for the audiobook edition of her bestselling book “Melania.” On August 26, she announced a Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge aimed at students and educators from kindergarten through twelfth grade, encouraging participation via the official government site at AI.Gov.
