Mobile woman sentenced to over two years for illegal firearm possession

A Mobile woman has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison after being found guilty of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Pharah Molette, 28, was previously convicted of second-degree robbery in the Circuit Court of Mobile County. According to court documents, she armed herself with a firearm and discharged two rounds down a residential street on September 19, 2024. The incident was recorded on video.

Following her prison term, Molette will be subject to three years of supervised release under the supervision of the United States Probation Office.

U.S. Attorney Sean P. Costello for the Southern District of Alabama announced the sentencing.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives along with the Mobile Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tandice Blackwood prosecuted the case.
