A Jenks man has been sentenced following a federal investigation that uncovered dozens of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse on his cellphone, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.
Jason Gardner Davis, 52, received a sentence of 78 months in prison for receipt and distribution of child pornography. U.S. District Judge John D. Russell also ordered Davis to serve 10 years of supervised release after completing his prison term. Additionally, Davis must pay $5,100 in restitution and monetary assessments and will be required to register as a sex offender upon release.
Court documents indicate that between October 2022 and February 2023, Davis admitted to receiving sexual gratification from obtaining and sharing sexually explicit material involving minors. Investigators found that he had communicated with an undercover agent through a social media application, distributing child sexual abuse material during these exchanges. A search warrant executed at Davis’ residence led agents to discover 99 images and 39 videos of child sexual abuse material on his cellphone, including content involving pre-pubescent children and sadistic acts.
Davis was taken into custody after pleading guilty in May and will remain detained until he is transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ashley Robert and Nathan Michel prosecuted the case.
According to the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative, which began in May 2006, federal agencies work together with state and local authorities to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children online while also working to identify victims.
