David X. Sullivan has issued a statement following his appointment by the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut to serve as United States Attorney.
In his statement, Sullivan expressed gratitude for being selected to continue in this role. “I sincerely thank Chief Judge Shea and the District Court judges for allowing me to continue in my role as United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. I am honored that they, President Trump, and Attorney General Bondi have placed their trust in me to serve our country and the people of Connecticut alongside the hard-working men and women of the office, and federal, state, and local law enforcement.”
Sullivan’s appointment follows a decision by the district court judges. The announcement also notes appreciation for support from federal officials including President Trump and Attorney General Bondi.
