Jeffry Gabriel Zamora-Pineda, a 33-year-old Honduran national, has been sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry into the United States. The sentencing took place in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Zamora-Pineda pleaded guilty on April 22, 2025. Investigators reported that he was found in Oklahoma on March 19, 2025, after having previously been removed from the country in 2019. He did not have permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission.

This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America. According to the press release: “Operation Take Back America is a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).”

The sentencing hearing was overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White in federal court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jordan W. Howanitz and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Olivia Staubus prosecuted the case for the government.
