Leroy T. McNamara, 62, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down on September 5, 2025, by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley after McNamara pleaded guilty to the charge earlier that day.
According to court records, McNamara sold a total of 335 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant during two separate transactions in July 2024.
At sentencing, Judge Conley stated: “McNamara’s willingness to trade on the addictions of others through his escalated drug dealing made him a danger to society.”
The investigation into McNamara’s activities was conducted by the West Central Drug Task Force, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan Stelljes prosecuted the case.
This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative by the Department of Justice aimed at combating illegal immigration and eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations across the country.
