Dylan Hansen Yazzie, a 29-year-old resident of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 180 months in prison for sexual exploitation of a child and use of a child to produce a visual depiction. The sentencing follows an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Broken Bow Police Department.
Yazzie pleaded guilty on February 13, 2025. Investigators stated that between July and September 2023, Yazzie coerced or induced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct with the intent to create images for transmission across state or national borders. The offense took place in McCurtain County within the Choctaw Nation Reservation.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at addressing child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program brings together federal, state, and local agencies to find and prosecute offenders and help victims.
