U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced the opening of two new Global Entry Enrollment Centers in the Gulf Coast region, aiming to increase access to its Trusted Traveler program for international travelers. The new centers are located at Trent Lott – CBP Office in Moss Point, Mississippi, and Chattanooga – CBP Office in Chattanooga, Tennessee. With these additions, there are now eight Global Entry Enrollment Centers operating in the Gulf Coast region.

“The demand for the Global Entry Trusted Traveler program continues to grow”, said Steven Stavinoha, CBP New Orleans Director of Field Operations. “With travel facilitation and national security in focus, we are pleased to expand the availability of Global Entry Enrollment appointments in both Mississippi and Tennessee.”

Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers arriving in the United States. Applicants must undergo thorough background checks and an in-person interview before enrollment. The program is available at major U.S. airports and enables members to use automated kiosks to bypass traditional customs lines.

Enrollment appointments at all eight Gulf Coast centers can be scheduled through the official TTP website at https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/scheduler.

CBP states that these new centers demonstrate its ongoing efforts to improve travel efficiency and security for international travelers by expanding access to trusted traveler programs nationwide.

Global Entry is one of four Department of Homeland Security Trusted Traveler Programs designed to provide modified screening for pre-approved members, streamline security processes, and facilitate legitimate trade and travel. The program currently serves more than 10 million members across land, air, and seaports of entry into the United States as well as Preclearance locations worldwide.

In addition to expedited re-entry into the U.S., eligible Global Entry members receive access to TSA PreCheck for faster security screening on domestic flights at participating airports. All applicants must be pre-approved for participation in any Trusted Traveler program.

CBP describes itself as America's largest law enforcement organization with over 65,000 employees responsible for enforcing lawful travel and trade while protecting national security across various domains.
