Lee K of NY INC, based in Flushing, New York, has issued a recall for its 57-ounce packages of “Stewed Aged Kimchi w/ Mackerel” due to the presence of undeclared milk and shrimp. According to the company, individuals with allergies to milk or shrimp could experience serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.

The affected kimchi was distributed in supermarkets across New York and New Jersey. The product is packaged in a black-bottomed plastic container and can be identified by UPC# 27300700000 on the top, with expiration dates prior to September 16, 2025.

The recall was prompted after inspectors from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets discovered that the product’s label did not indicate it contained milk and shrimp allergens.

Consumers who have purchased this product are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For further information, consumers can contact Lee K of NY INC at 718-460-0707.
