Christopher Boisvert of Swanzey, New Hampshire, was sentenced to 74 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for his involvement in a series of robberies that took place on August 26, 2024. The sentence was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Christina Reiss on September 30, 2025.

Boisvert pleaded guilty on June 10, 2025, to one count of bank robbery and admitted to committing another bank robbery as well as an attempted robbery at a marijuana dispensary. His co-conspirator, Meghan Cox of Laconia, New Hampshire, also pleaded guilty to her role in the attempted dispensary robbery and is scheduled for sentencing on October 20, 2025.

Court records indicate that the crime spree began around 2:00 p.m., with Boisvert and Cox attempting to rob a marijuana dispensary. Boisvert then robbed TD Bank in Bellows Falls and Brattleboro Savings & Loan in Brattleboro. He wore a mask during the incidents, appeared armed, and threatened violence against bank tellers and their families while taking $7,500. After the final robbery in Brattleboro, he led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Vermont back roads before abandoning his vehicle in a business parking lot. Later that day, Boisvert and Cox called police from their home in New Hampshire to falsely report the truck stolen and claimed they had been hiking all afternoon. Prior to these offenses, Boisvert had multiple arrests and convictions for armed robberies dating from 2012 through 2023.

Acting United States Attorney Michael P. Drescher acknowledged several agencies for their roles in the investigation: "I commend the investigatory efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Vermont State Police, the Brattleboro Police Department, the Bellows Falls Police Department, the Keene (New Hampshire) Police Department, the Swanzey (New Hampshire) Police Department, the Cheshire County (New Hampshire) Sheriff’s Department, the New Hampshire State Police, the Athol (Massachusetts) Police Department, and the Winchendon (Massachusetts) Police Department."

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Jonathan Ophardt and Dana Hill. Christopher Boisvert was represented by Assistant Federal Public Defender Emily Kenyon; Meghan Cox is represented by Richard C. Bothfeld.
