Senate HELP Committee schedules hearing on surgeon general nominee Casey Means

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee has scheduled a confirmation hearing for Dr. Casey Means, who has been nominated to serve as Surgeon General. The hearing will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time in the 430 Dirksen Senate Office Building. Dr. Means is set to appear virtually before the committee.

The agenda for the session includes considering Dr. Means's nomination to be Medical Director in the Regular Corps of the Public Health Service and Surgeon General of the Public Health Service.
