White House announces details for annual Halloween celebration hosted by President Trump

On October 30, 2025, the White House will host its annual Halloween event on the South Lawn. First Lady Melania Trump and President Donald J. Trump are set to welcome trick-or-treaters of all ages for an evening of festivities.

The event will run from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM and is open to ticketholders, including military families, law enforcement families, foster and adoptive families, as well as Administration officials with children. Attendees will be able to visit trick-or-treat booths and view autumn decorations at the South Portico.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will distribute commemorative candies during part of the event on the South Drive. The U.S. Air Force Strolling Strings will provide musical entertainment with traditional Halloween songs and modern music.

Several organizations are participating in this year’s celebration. The U.S. Postal Service will offer toy mail trucks and a BE BEST postcard station for children. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is providing a photo opportunity with a giant pumpkin and distributing mini pumpkins from American farmers. The International Fresh Produce Association will supply apples from Washington state and New York state, while the National Confectioners Association will hand out sweet treats.

Other participants include America 250, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Park Service, U.S. Mint, U.S. Secret Service, White House Historical Association, and the Center of Science and Industry.

Security measures are in place for attendees; certain personal items may be prohibited as outlined by the U.S. Secret Service at www.secretservice.gov/prohibiteditems. However, strollers, wheelchairs, umbrellas without metal tips, cameras, and medically necessary items such as wheelchairs or EpiPens are allowed if explained upon arrival.
