William Spencer appointed as HUD regional administrator for Pacific Region

William Spencer has been named the new Regional Administrator for the Pacific Region (Region IX) of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), according to an announcement by HUD Secretary Scott Turner.

“Will Spencer is an American hero and served 24 years as a U.S. Navy SEAL Master Chief,” said HUD Secretary Scott Turner. “His lifetime commitment to public service is an incredible asset that will help us usher in the Golden Age of American homeownership. We are blessed to welcome him as part of the team at HUD.”

Spencer’s career includes 14 deployments, eight of which were combat tours, during his time with the U.S. Navy. He has received multiple honors, including the Bronze Star Medal with Valor. After leaving military service, he established organizations such as the American Warrior Association and Urban Explorers Program, both aimed at supporting veterans, first responders, and underserved youth.

Together, we will continue building stronger communities, empowering families, and ensuring that the promise of the American Dream is not only preserved-but expanded-for generations to come."
