A Checotah resident has pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Jason Duane Henrichs, 47, admitted to one count of distribution of methamphetamine. The offense carries a potential sentence ranging from five to forty years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million.
According to court documents, Henrichs distributed five grams or more of methamphetamine on November 22, 2022. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Judge Robertson ordered a presentence investigation report before sentencing.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine Henrichs’s sentence after reviewing federal sentencing guidelines and other legal factors. Until then, Henrichs will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service.
