Operation "No Limits" nets nearly 100 arrests targeting violent crime in Danville

Zachary T. Lee Acting United States Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia

A weeklong law enforcement initiative known as Operation "No Limits" concluded in Danville, Virginia, resulting in the arrest of 96 individuals wanted for violent felonies. The operation, which involved local, state, and federal agencies, also identified an additional 23 offenders who were already incarcerated elsewhere but had outstanding warrants.

Authorities reported that the operation led to several new investigations into violent crime and drug trafficking. Officers seized more than 55 grams of fentanyl—an amount officials say could be lethal to over 27,600 people—along with 15 firearms, 28 grams of cocaine, over five pounds of ammunition, 65 grams of K2 synthetic marijuana, and more than $14,000 in cash. One missing child was also located during the effort.

Those arrested face charges ranging from homicide and drug offenses to identity theft, probation violations, cruelty toward children, malicious wounding, burglary, weapons offenses—including unlawful discharge of a firearm—and other violent crimes such as rape and armed robbery.

Acting United States Attorney Robert N. Tracci commented on the collaborative effort: “I am grateful for the extraordinary work of our federal, state, and local partners who made No Limits a clear victory for Danville and the citizens we serve. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District is determined to build on the success of No Limits to target, prosecute, and ultimately eradicate violent crime, drug trafficking, and transnational criminal threats to our citizen and communities.”

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares highlighted ongoing partnerships through Ceasefire Virginia: “Operation No Limits is an exceptional example of our tireless work with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to make Virginia communities safer, demonstrating once again the effectiveness of Ceasefire Virginia. We will continue partnering with law enforcement across the Commonwealth, particularly in our Ceasefire cities, to hold violent, dangerous, and repeat offenders accountable. My sincere thanks to all law enforcement who collaborated to the success of this operation and to U.S. Attorney Robert Tracci for continued partnership with our office.”

The participating agencies included multiple federal bodies such as the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms & Explosives (BATFE), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), as well as local organizations like the Danville Police Department and Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
