Leah B. Foley United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts | Department of Justice
A Fall River resident, Antonio Calderon, 43, has been charged with four counts of distributing at least 28 grams of crack cocaine. Calderon was arrested on November 14, 2025, and released under certain conditions after his initial appearance in federal court in Boston.
According to the charging documents, Calderon allegedly sold more than 28 grams of crack cocaine on four separate occasions in the Fall River area: June 17, June 24, July 16, and September 18 of this year. The documents also state that Calderon has a history of legal issues dating back to 2000, with a total of 31 arraignments and 13 convictions. Among these is a conviction for trafficking cocaine that resulted in a sentence of ten to fifteen years in state prison.
Each count carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to forty years in prison. There are also potential penalties including at least four years and up to life on supervised release as well as fines reaching $5 million. Sentencing decisions will be made by a federal district court judge according to the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and relevant statutes.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced the charges along with Thomas Greco, Special Agent in Charge of the Boston Field Division for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives. The Massachusetts State Police and Fall River Police Department provided assistance during the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney John J. Reynolds III from the Organized Crime & Gang Unit is handling prosecution.
The case falls under Operation Take Back America—a nationwide initiative by the Department of Justice designed to address illegal immigration, dismantle cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and enhance community safety through coordinated law enforcement efforts.
Authorities emphasize that all details outlined in charging documents are allegations; "The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law."
