Daqwon Graham, 31, of Ansonia, was sentenced to 130 months in federal prison for fentanyl trafficking, according to an announcement from David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. U.S. District Judge Vernon D. Oliver also ordered Graham to serve five years of supervised release after completing his prison term.

Authorities said that the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and Stamford Police Department identified Graham as a significant fentanyl distributor operating in Fairfield County. Investigators linked Graham’s drug activities to two overdose deaths: one involving a male victim in Branford in March 2023 and another involving a female victim in Shelton in October 2024.

In early 2025, investigators conducted several controlled purchases of fentanyl mixed with xylazine from Graham. He was arrested on February 26, 2025, in Stamford following a coordinated operation where he was found with about 400 grams of fentanyl. A search revealed additional amounts of fentanyl as well as cocaine and crack cocaine.

Graham has remained detained since his arrest. He pleaded guilty on July 23, 2025, to possession with intent to distribute at least 400 grams of fentanyl.

The DEA Bridgeport HIDTA Task Force is composed of personnel from multiple law enforcement agencies including the DEA Bridgeport Resident Office; Connecticut State Police; and police departments from Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford, and Stratford. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lauren C. Clark prosecuted the case.
