A Morrisdale, Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to the trafficking of fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to an announcement from First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Brandon Kifer, 45, entered his guilty plea before United States District Judge Stephanie L. Haines. He admitted guilt to two counts listed in the indictment.
According to information presented during the hearing, between February 2023 and March 2023 in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Kifer conspired to distribute and possessed with intent to distribute at least 40 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl and at least 50 grams of methamphetamine.
Judge Haines has scheduled sentencing for March 26, 2026. The statutory penalty for these offenses includes a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to forty years in prison. The defendant also faces a potential fine of up to $5 million. Sentencing will be determined based on federal guidelines that consider the severity of the crimes and any prior criminal history.
Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon is prosecuting the case. The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration along with the Pennsylvania State Police.
