Veteran Action has unveiled the Veterans Bill of Rights, a framework aimed at protecting veterans and guiding policy at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This initiative has garnered support from several notable figures, including U.S. Senator Tim Sheehy, Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia, and former Acting VA Secretary Peter O'Rourke.

The document emphasizes key principles to ensure veterans receive necessary support. A significant aspect is the Freedom of Choice, promoted through the Veterans' ACCESS Act, which is currently being considered in Congress. To gather backing for this legislation, Veteran Action has initiated a grassroots campaign and released a video urging Congress to pass what was highlighted as President Trump's top legislative priority for veterans.

Darin Selnick, Senior Advisor at Veteran Action and author of the Veterans Bill of Rights, said: "The Veterans Bill of Rights represents our commitment to ensuring that the promises made to our nation's veterans are kept." He emphasized that it establishes principles to guide policy decisions and protect veteran benefits.

Mark Lucas, Founder of Veteran Action, criticized Democrats for blocking the bill's passage by Veterans Day due to a government shutdown over healthcare for illegal immigrants. He mentioned that their campaign would focus on Senators Dick Blumenthal and Ruben Gallego among others who are advocating for limiting healthcare choice after eight years. Lucas expressed disapproval over Blumenthal's actions, referring to him as a "Stolen Valor Senator."

Veterans Action Group is known for advocating America First policies aimed at strengthening national security and supporting veterans.
