Joel Rebollero, also known as Joel Reboyar Calderon, Joel Calderon Reboyar, and Jose Bolero, was sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry into the United States. Rebollero, a 36-year-old Mexican national, was found unlawfully present in McAlester, Oklahoma.
The case resulted from an investigation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division and the McAlester Police Department. According to investigators, Rebollero was discovered in the United States on June 10, 2025, without having received permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission after being previously removed on June 4, 2008.
Rebollero pleaded guilty to the charge on August 4, 2025. The prosecution noted that this case is part of Operation Take Back America. This initiative aims to use all available resources from the Department of Justice to address illegal immigration and target cartels and transnational criminal organizations.

The sentencing hearing was overseen by Judge John C. Coughenour of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, who served by designation in this matter. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Cornell represented the government during proceedings.
